Our AMA will: (1) seek legislation requiring managed care companies and any third party carrier including Medicare to request a refund from physicians in the same time period they give physicians to file a claim in the contract; and (2) seek legislation that managed care companies and any third party carrier including Medicare in no case be allowed more than 180 days to request a refund from a physician.
